Garden Fires

I am afraid we have to post these guide lines again because of a complaint we received from a Stanley resident 

GARDEN FIRES   Gardeners are asked to be considerate, limit the number and size of fires and check the wind direction before starting a fire DO NOT LIGHT A FIRE IF :  

• It could spoil the enjoyment of gardening neighbours 
• Become a nuisance to nearby property
• Cause a smoke hazard to the road

  DO NOT BURN PLASTIC OR OTHER TOXIC MATERIALS OR LEAVE A FIRE UNATTENDED  Please comply if asked to extinguish any fire that is considered a nuisance or following complaint Local tip sites at Ilkeston and Raynesway are operating efficiently for larger amounts of green waste or other materials Composting is an alternative option.
